Spaces for People Update: Temporary Cycle Segregation on Slateford Road Approved

Image credit: City of Edinburgh Council

We have been notified by the City of Edinburgh Council that the proposed Temporary Cycle Segregation on Slateford Road as part of the CEC’s Spaces for People Measures has been approved for delivery.

The project is due to commence construction on 30th March, within lining and markings commencing at the junction of Angle Park Terrace and Henderson Terrace. Work will continue from the west in the coming weeks.

The Assessment Feedback Form includes the submission that Gorgie Dalry Community Council made during the short consultation window following discussion with residents at a Public Meeting, and the CEC’s response. We are pleased to see that some of the concerns raised by GDCC have been taken on board with regards to the updated design of the scheme, although there are still some outstanding issues relating to the carriageway surfacing.

If residents have any comments or issues about this City of Edinburgh Council scheme, please contact gorgiedalrycommunitycouncil@gmail.com
