Bank Closures in Gorgie and Dalry

GDCC are disappointed to hear about the planned bank branch closures in Gorgie and Dalry, and will be writing to our MP and MSPs to express our opposition. We are concerned that this will detrimentally affect residents who rely on banking through the branches, and that this will reduce the number of free-to-withdraw cash machines in the area.

The Bank of Scotland Dalry branch on Ardmillan Terrace was due to close on 1 June 2020, but will now close permanently on 17 November 2020. TSB have announced that their Gorgie branch on Gorgie Road is set to close on 18 March 2021. These closures will leave the Gorgie Dalry area without a bank, although the Scottish Building Society on Dalry Road remains open.

If any residents are worried that these closures will have a detrimental effect on them, please contact us at gorgiedalrycommunitycouncil@gmail.com
