How to Get a Replacement Bus Pass

The following information from the City of Edinburgh Council was sent by Cllr. Denis Dixon:

With the closure of our Libraries in March, we were unable to support the application verification process for new 60+ applications. In addition, NEC who produce the cards, were not accepting new applications. Nationally, this service resumed in July 2020. As part of Edinburgh’s recovery plans, City of Edinburgh Council have been working collaboratively with the Improvement Service in order to bring an alternative channel for residents to submit new applications while Libraries consider their programme for reopening.

Please see update on the Edinburgh Council website at the link below:

From 03 August 2020, you can apply for a new over 60’s bus pass online on the Get Your NEC website.

For all other bus passes, including new disabled bus pass applicants and renewals and lost cards, please email one-edinburgh@edinburgh.gov.uk.

If you would prefer to apply for a bus pass in-person at a library, Fountainbridge Library will reopen on Tuesday 13th October 2020. Find out more information on library re-opening plans.
